Brianna and Branden’s soft blue and white wedding at the Windmill House in Chino Valley was amazing. Their family and friends flew and drove in from all over the country to celebrate their marriage in this oasis in the middle of the desert landscapes of Arizona. The weather was nice and cool with a breeze that made the willow trees dance in the most magical way. There were storm clouds in the distance all day, but there was no rain to be found on their wedding day.
During their ceremony they exchanged their own heartfelt vows sprinkled with reference to sports, the bride playing hockey, and Disney. One part mushy and one part inside jokes equals my favorite vows. After a ring exchange, a unity sand ceremony, a blessing, and a kiss, it was finally official!
After the ceremony we got to go everywhere in the venue to get pictures. This place seriously has a little bit of everything! Everywhere you look is green. Green willow tress, pine trees, bushes, rosemary, grass, etc. There is a gorgeous lake with a doc and a bridge that they light up at night. Oh, and a fountain in the lake!
When went to take some pictures on the doc and there were some chairs bolted down to the doc. I was determined to get a picture without the chairs. So, my second shooter held on to my Hold Fast Money Maker camera strap so I could lean back without fear of falling into the lake. The result was some amazing images of them on the doc with the lake in the back. During the reception, we snuck them out after dinner to take some pictures on the lit up bridge with some great storm clouds behind them. After some more dancing, cake, and some bouquet & garter tosses, we ended the night with sparklers!
