Cheslyne and Shane were married at the historic Ellis-Shackelford House in downtown Phoenix at the end of December. The wedding had a subtle Christmas theme with a Christmas tree in the main room and garland decorating the fireplaces. They choose bold and beautiful winter colors of purples and burgundies for their wedding colors.
Cheslyne & Shane started their day by getting ready just down the street at the amazing Found:RE. This is such a fun and funky place to get ready at. (And the huge windows made for amazing pictures!) After the detail and getting ready pictures, we jumped in the elevator with Shane and the groomettes to head to the venue. When we got out, Shane saw Siya, a famous lesbian rapper! This was my first celebrity run in at a wedding, and I used my ninja skills to jump in a snag a photo of the two of them! But, seriously, how cool was that?!
Once we got to the venue it was time to get Cheslyne in her dress and ready for the first look. There were lots of laughs to be had with the bridesmaids before it was finally time for Cheslyne and Shane to see each other. We set them up for the first look, and let them have their moment together. When they were ready, we explored the areas around this beautiful historic house for their portraits. We got the wedding party together for some fun portraits. (It was hard to keep this group from laughing!) And, before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony!
Cheslyne & Shane chose to walk down the beautiful wood staircase and the aisle together. During their ceremony they share heartfelt vows and laughs. They incorporated a handfasting and signed their marriage licence as part of the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we snuck over to the park for a few more portraits of the two of them. Then they joined the last part of the cocktail hour to mingle with all their guests. To start the reception, they shared their first dance in the parlor. After dinner, when the guests were all refilling their drinks and enjoying the photobooth, Cheslyne and Shane snuck away for a private dance with just the two of them. After they cut the cake, it was time to open up the parlor and dance the night away!
Cheslyne & Shane, you two are one of the happiest and most loving couples I have had the privilege of photographing. I hope that your life (and Sims life 😉) is full of laughter and adventures.
