Lindsay and Kyle got married at The Venue at the Grove in Phoenix. They wanted a bohemian romantic feel for their wedding, and Venue at the Grove delivered! The winter pecan trees and fruitful orange trees were the perfect backdrop for their day.
Their day started with the guys getting ready at Lindsay’s parents house and the girls getting ready in adorable matching robes at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak. They (separately) took a party bus with their wedding party and family down to the venue. That is when the real fun began!
After Lindsay put on her dress, she shared a heartwarming toast with her bridesmaids. The girls were all teary eyed before the ceremony even started! Her mom helped her put on her jewelry and then it was time for a first look with her pop. Then the bridesmaids joined Lindsay for lots of laughs during their portraits. We got the girls tucked away and headed over to the guys. Kyle’s mom helped him pin his boutonniere and then we gathered the guys for their portraits, which were equally full of laughs.
Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony! Lindsay had placed her father’s Cubs jacket and hat on a front row seat at the ceremony, saving the best seat for him. The ceremony started with Kyle and his mother walking down the aisle together. After the bridal party walked down the aisle, the ring bearers came down with a sign that read, “Uncle Kyle, here comes OUR girl.” Lindsay and Kyle met through mutual friends on the beaches of San Diego. So, it was ever so sweet that their mutual friend officiated the ceremony. After they exchanged personal vows (and I stifled some tears), they exchanged rings and were finally husband and wife!
I followed them away from the ceremony and captured an amazing moment of them celebrating being husband as wife as the wind blew Lindsay’s veil. It was pure magic. There were many hugs shared between these two and their friends and family after the ceremony. After they signed the marriage licenses, making it official, we snuck away for some pictures of the two of them. They had huge smiles on their faces throughout their portrait time through the end of the night.
After the ceremony, Lindsay and Kyle wanted to party with all their friends and family, and that is exactly what they did! To kick off the reception the bridal party had coordinated dances to do together for the grand entrance. Including Lindsay and Kyle who did a dance that reminded me of the Fresh Prince before sharing their first dance together. Then they did the father, daughter and mother, son dances before dinner was served. Dinner was followed by toasts, which Lindsay ended with a special toast to her mom asking for them to share a dance together. After that, the cupcakes were served, the photo booth was open, and it was time to dance the night away!
Lindsay and Kyle, I cannot say it enough, you two are one of the sweetest couples I have had the chance to work with. It was truly an honor to be part of your wedding day. I hope that your marriage is full of laughter and frequent trips to the beach.
