Kelsey and Shawn got married at the historic Van Dickson Ranch in Skull Valley this fall. The Van Dickson Ranch was homesteaded over 100 years ago in 1906. The ceremony area is in a gassy field, surrounded by groves of oak, cottonwood, and walnut trees. Surrounding the ceremony area is an amazing mountain backdrop. A quick ride across the polo field in a golf cart will brings you to the open air reception Ramada, to party the night away.
Van Dickson Ranch Wedding Day
Kelsey and Shawn met at Country Thunder. So, you know they had to have a Country theme to their wedding. Everyone in the wedding party wore cowboy boots. And Kelsey had two special pairs for her to wear throughout the day. One with a decorative blue thread (something blue) and another with cute cactus! Kelsey and Shawn were married by Pappy, a long time friend of Shawn’s family. After the ceremony, as guests were carted to the reception space, we explored the homestead for Kelsey and Shawn’s portraits. Once we arrived at the reception, it was time for the party to start! The night was filled with Country music, party music, and quite a few shot-gunned beers!
