Misty and Chris were married at the Windmill House wedding venue in Chino Valley. This venue is a little oasis in the desert of Arizona. If there is one word I could use to describe this venue, it would be green. There is a beautiful lake on the property surrounded by lush green trees and plants. And, of course, the windmill that the venue is named after.
Misty and Chris met on match.com 6 years ago. They quickly bonded over a love for hiking, camping, and traveling. In those 6 years together, Misty and Chris had an adorable son (who was their ring bearer!). When they are not spending time with their friends and family, they love going to new breweries and checking out new restaurants.
The Wedding Day
This love of breweries inspired their wedding! To start, the invitations had a hops design. The boutonnieres were made from dried wheat and hops. And the groomsmen all had custom cuff links, and Chris’s was hops of course! The reception tables were all named after local Arizona breweries. And they had beer growler centerpieces! The invitations also had a hops design. Both their ring box and cake topper were toasting glasses. Seriously, a super cute way to incorporate something they both love into their wedding day.
Their wedding ceremony was very sweet and fun. It was officiated by their friend, Fed, who knocked it out of the park. When it came time to give their vows, they played Rock-Paper-Scissors to determine who would go first! After reading their personal vows, they exchanged rings. Then, Chris surprised everyone with a big dip for their first kiss! After the ceremony we took pictures with their family and bridal party. Then, it was time to explore for their portraits. We made sure to get amazing photos with the iconic windmill and bridge! Then it was time for the reception.
The Reception
The reception started with dinner and toasts. Then it was time for Misty and Chris’s first dance as husband and wife. Misty did a siblings dance with her brother and Chris danced with both his Mother and Step Mother. Then, they surprised one of their bridesmaids and groomsmen with a special dance for their anniversary! After that, it was time to party. Guests stopped by the Trailer Trash photo booth before returning to the dance floor to dance the night away.
Misty and Chris, I hope you two have an amazing time in Europe. And that you get to try all the ales!

My Favorite Detail – The hops cuff links
My Favorite Moment – When they played “Hot for Teacher” during the garter toss (because Misty is a teacher)!
