Rebecca and Isaac’s wedding at The Sky Ranch Lodge in Sedona made my Disney nerd heart flutter! But first, I have to talk about this venue. There is a reason the venue is called the Sky Ranch, it looks like you are in the sky! The venue is on the side of a cliff overlooking the beautiful red rocks of Sedona. The Lodge part of this venue has lots of greenery, shade, and a creek running through it. There is also a trail that runs along the rim of the cliff through the gorgeous Sedona desert. This venue has a bit of it all: green, desert, and the famous red rocks!
Rebecca and Isaac were all smiles on their wedding day. Rebecca was still getting over being sick, but you would have no idea whenever she was with Isaac. She lit up like the Disneyland fireworks anytime they were together. They were both relaxed on throughout the wedding day and really enjoyed themselves with their friends and family.
Rebecca first described their wedding to me as more casual wedding and a family BBQ. She couldn’t have been more right. This wedding was truly a family affair. Family members helped with deserts, hair, makeup, setting up the venue, etc. The groom’s sister was not only the maid of honor but their day of coordinator. They had a cookie bar with not only Rebecca and Isaac’s favorite cookies but the family’s favorite as well!
Rebecca and Isaac got engaged dressed as Ariel and Eric on the docs of the water in Disneyland (there is a picture of this in the reception photos below)! So you know there had to be Disney elements to their wedding! There were references to Rebecca’s love of Disney during the vows and toasts, but the Disney love really showed at the reception. Guests would find their Fast Past to find the ride (table) they were sitting at. Each table was their won ride, and you know I had to take a picture of the Tower of Terror table! The head table also featured a rose in a glass ala Beauty and the Beast.
Rebecca and Isaac had a first look before the ceremony. The videographer and I scouted out a lush green area that was just perfect for their first look! After Rebecca loveling adjusted Isaacs’s rolled sleeves, we got some amazing portraits of these two absolutely beaming at each other. We explored the lodge area of the venue taking portraits along the way. Then we grabbed the bridal party and had a lot of fun getting pictures of all the matching converse and the superhero shirts the guys were wearing under their button ups. (They each had a lego boutonniere that matched their shirt.) After their friends prayed for them and their marriage, it was time for them to separate and relax for a few minutes before the ceremony.
Throughout the day the groom had a few surprises up his sleeve. After he said “I Do” all the groomsmen pulled out cans our Mountain Dew to toast! Get it I Do, Mountain Dew (Do). (Where they hid them, I am not entirely sure.) Then during the mother-son dance, the music stopped and Isaac and his mom stopped their slow dance to bust out some serious choreographed dance moves. While they were entertaining the guests, a group of people ran and grabbed hidden Muppets! They proceeded to put on a Muppet show! I later found out that Isaac’s mother taught all the kids puppeteering and they had been doing performances together for years!
Rebecca and Isaacs wedding day was filled with happiness, love, and joy not only beaming from the two of them, but all their friends and family that came to support them on their special day.
Rebecca & Isaac – I hope the two of you have all the years of joy and happiness together, with all of Isaacs’s surprises, and lots of trips to Disney!
