Andrea & Matt were married at The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. This was my first time at this venue, and I am in love. There are so many great areas for photos, including areas by the suits where they got ready! (Not to mention, there was a pool table in one of their suites!) Matt and Andrea’s ceremony was at the Paradise Park lawn, which is a secluded green courtyard surrounded by Spanish colonial breezeways. Their ceremony backdrop was an amazing rustic gate covered in the most amazing flower arrangements by Bloom + Blueprint. Are you in love with this venue yet? Because I have not even gotten to the amazing desert garden or the lush walkways!
Andrea and Matt met in highschool and have been together ever since. They have a crazy Chihuahua named Pablo, who they absolutely adore. They had a specialty drink named after him at the wedding and an adorable photo of him next to the drink menu! They love being outdoors together whether they are hiking or relaxing by the pool. And when they are home, their are either watching The Office or Parks and Rec together. (Seriously, two after my own heart.)
Before the wedding, they were so relaxed and truly enjoyed spending the morning with their closest friends and family. They were so excited to get married that they were actually ahead of our timeline! Before the ceremony, we took photos of each them with their wedding party and immediate family, so we could have more time for photos with them after the ceremony!
While the guests gathered for the ceremony, they were greeted with champagne. Once it was time for the ceremony, the guests took their seats and the officiant walked to the altar. The ceremony was very sweet and full of happy tears and a few shared laughs. After Andrea and Matt exchanged rings and vows, it was finally time for them to share their first kiss as husband and wife!
The bridal party and family members gathered to share congratulation hugs and happy tears with Andrea and Matt. They signed the marriage license and then toasted with their signature Pablo drinks. We took a few more family photos and wedding party photos before exploring the venue for their portraits. Our first spot was the amazing courtyard they were married in. It was too beautiful not to use for their portraits. Our next stop was the amazing desert garden! This ties with the courtyard for my favorite location for portraits. We explored the greenery covered walkways and ended our photos in front of the venue’s Spanish inspired fountain.
After their grand entrance to the reception, they sat down to enjoy dinner with their guests. After dinner, their siblings and parents shared heartfelt toasts with Andrea and Matt. Then they shared their first dance and dances with their parents. Andrea’s dad surprised her with a more upbeat dance song for their Father Daughter dance. After dances, they cut the cake and tossed the bouquet. Now it was time to party! The dance floor opened and the shots & Pablos poured. Guests bounced back and forth between the photo booth and the dance floor throughout the night. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, they had sliders, fries, and a desert table brought out for a late night snack!
Andrea and Matt, you two are such a joy to be around. Your love truly radiates from each other and impacts everyone around you. I hope that the two of you and Pablo continue to have a life full of shared laughs and love.
