Victoria and Alex are one of my treasured West Side couples. As such, they wanted to do their engagement session on the West Side of the valley, so I naturally suggested Sahuaro Ranch. I love shooting their because I get to take my clients on a mini-tour of the grounds mixing in memories from my childhood. One day I will get an amazing picture with those pesky peacocks. We got a hen in one of our pictures, so I am getting closer!
Another reason I love sessions at Sahuaro Ranch is the variety you get in such a small place. Oh, and the massive amounts of shade. That is always a plus in Arizona. 🙂 We started with some of my favorite brick walls. (Yes, I have favorite brick walls. I’m that nerd.) Then we headed over to the green areas of the park. At this point, I could not stop Victoria from laughing, and I loved every minute of it. When I realized that her nail polish and bracelet matched his shirt, I couldn’t handle it. I had to get multiple pictures of this coordination!
After spending some time in the orange groves, we went over to the main house. That is when it happened, a hen decided she wanted to be part of our photo! I guess, she only wanted to show us her butt, but hey! I’ll take it! I love this show because it just looks like Victoria and Alex live on a farm out in the country and this is their lives. Which is actually pretty opposite from living in the Valley of Phoenix.
I cannot wait to see what cute coordination she has in store for their wedding this February. On my birthday. That’s right! They are getting married on my birthday! It was meant to be.
