Cassandra and Matt’s relationship started on eharmony! I instantly thought of their commercials, and was so happy to meet a couple who were matched up by them! They were matched in 2015 and have been inseparable since.
Cassandra and Matt love spending quite nights in with their entertaining cat, Catbernet. They also enjoy hosting their friends at their new house. (I mean, who doesn’t want to show off their new place?!) When they are not staying in, they love to travel to the different small towns in Arizona and to San Diego.
For Cassandra and Matt’s engagement session, we went to one of my favorite spots: Roosevelt Row. They were looking for a little mix of everything that the art-district has to offer. We started the session a little more casual, walking around to find the art murals that caught our eye.
After we made a small circle, it was time for an outfit change. Cassandra had the cutest flower dress for her second outfit! That inspired me and we went straight for my favorite green wall just off Roosevelt. I always make a point to photograph in new areas of my tried and true locations. So, after my fav green wall, we headed down the street to an art mural I always see, but have not photographed yet. And of course they are some of my favorite images from the session! (Of course, I may be a little partial to the pretty blues that was behind them!)
Then we went across the street to snag some photos with the iconic bird mural. The sun was hitting them just right, and I was inspired by their shadows cast against the wall. I don’t get to photograph shadows often, so I jumped at the opportunity. And I am not disappointed.
I am looking forward to their wedding at the Superstition Manor this fall. Their wedding is going to be a laid-back family affair. Just my style!
