Emillie and Ashley’s engagement session on Roosevelt Row was a dream come true. The two of them founded a church just down the road, so they were just as familiar with the area as I was! They even scoped out the coffee shop I suggested meeting and decided they had to have pictures there. I had so much fun walking around downtown with them and checking out everyone’s 90’s inspired outfits! (Apparently it was 90’s night!)
Emillie and Ashley met 7 years ago at their church in Atlanta. Ashley proposed in Atlanta and they are getting married in Atlanta! They now live in Phoenix, which made it the perfect place to have their engagement session. Emillie is an art teacher and Ashley loves reading. When they stopped by Jobot Coffee Shop, they felt right at home and emailed me about doing some pictures inside the coffee shop. How could I resists?
They brought some books along with them for a specific picture of Emillie standing on the books next to Ashley. (You can see that one below!) So, I jumped at the chance to include them in their photos at the coffee shop. We ordered some drinks, picked out a book, and started rocking it. After we finished our drinks, it was time to head out onto the streets.
We walked around to a few of my go-to spots and then explored to find some new areas. We exchanged stories and histories of the different buildings and murals we knew along the way. I made sure to include a little bit of everything from Roosevelt Row in their engagement session: coffee shop, murals, graffiti, industrial, and historical.
Emillie and Ashley, I hope you two have the most magical wedding in Atlanta. And I hope that you continue to make each other laugh so easily for so many years to come!
