Cheslyne and Shane’s Flagstaff engagement session was absolutely magical. They knew that they wanted to escape the summer heat and enjoy the beauty of Northern Arizona for their session. We decided on a sunrise session on the Campbell Mesa Loop Trail. So, with Dutch Bros in hand, I left the valley at a brisk 3:00 AM to head up the mountain to the trailhead. And it was so worth it! There is just something so magical about the rays from the morning sun shining through the pine trees.
Both Cheslyne and Shane are from the east coast, but it took moving across the country for them to meet each other in Arizona. And it was definitely a stars aligned kind of moment. Cheslyne had just moved to Phoenix and was looking to make some new friends. Meanwhile, Shane’s friend had just helped her update her profile online to shout “Shane!”. And it worked! Cheslyne came across Shane’s profile, thought she was cool, and decided to send her a message. They met up at Lux coffee and after finding out they both had a love for playing Sims, the rest is history.
I had such a great time exploring this new trail with these two! There were a bit of Shenanigans and a whole lot of laughs, just how I like it! And a big shout out to Shane who was sick for the entire session! But looking at these photos, who would know?!
Cheslyne and Shane are planning an elegant and romantic Christmas wedding at the Ellis Shackelford House this December! I am so excited that they will be my last wedding of 2018!
