For Venyse & Melvin’s engagement session, we went to one of my tried and true spots: Roosevelt Row. I always love going down to Roosevelt Row because it is ever changing. In fact, we saw a new mural being painted while we were taking their engagement photos! There is always something new to find in this wonderful arts district.
Venyse & Melvin met on eHarmony a few years ago. Their first date was at a coffee shop, so they wanted to take some pictures inside of Jobot. How could I resist? We met at the coffee shop and ordered our drinks. (Because you can’t have coffee shop pictures without coffee!) We took a few pictures inside, but it was super busy for a Tuesday night! So, we went out onto the patio for a few more pictures. Then we started our adventure.
Everything is so green this time of year, so every tree I saw I wanted to stop at. Which is the first thing we did! Then we explored the block looking for any murals or buildings that caught our eye. My favorite find of the day was a blue and black mural for an exhibit at the Heard Museum that matched their outfits! How perfect was that?
Venyse & Melvin did not need very much direction during the session. They were so quick to make each other laugh and full of love for each other. If they were this cute for their engagement session, I cannot wait for their wedding this Fall!
