Dan and Julie planned an intimate wedding with just their closest family members. Knowing the importance of their wedding, they knew they wanted to have the day documented. They decided to have a bridal session at the Hassayumpa Inn in Paradise Valley followed by a reception dinner with their family.
Dan and Julie met, as many couples do, through an online dating app. They quickly found that they have a lot in common. Dan and Julie love to hike, garden, cook, and travel together. They also love to take their yellow lab and blue tick coon hound out exploring and looking for fallen antlers!
I met Dan and Julie through my husband. Dan works for the Game and Fish and he and my husband are frequently talking about the outdoors. I was so excited for the opportunity to photograph their wedding! I met with Dan and Julie just over a month before their wedding day and we hit it off immediately. (I mean, a laid-back couple who loves the outdoors. Sounds like another couple I know…)
After a few weeks of planning, it was finally time for their wedding day. It was an unseasonably warm day, so I got to the venue early to scope out all the good locations for pictures. Dan and Julie opted to do a quick first look to start their bridal session.
From there, we ventured around the beautiful gardens of the inn. They had an amazing array of desert gardens and colorful flower gardens. And anytime I saw a punch of fushia, I had to get them in front of it. (It matched their colors after all!) After some pictures with their family and a quick cool off in the hotel room, it was time for them to head to their reception.
Dan and Julie, I hope that you two have many fun adventures with your pups in the years to come!
