Corie & Joe met in high school through a mutual friend and have been together for 16 years! They just got engaged last year and are ready to celebrate their marriage with their three kids. They love going to concerts and taking family vacations together. When we first met, they were getting ready for a family trip to Disneyland! (These two are defiantly after my own heart!)
For Corie & Joe’s engagement session, they took me to Gilbert’s Heritage District. Being from the West side of town, I do not head out to Gilbert often and have never been to the Heritage District. I was pretty excited to check out the new area and see what amazing photo opportunities awaited. Corie & Joe love going to the Heritage District for the amazing restaurants that are there. As we explored the are they shared with me their favorite spots to eat. And they are not the only ones that go there for the food. By the end of our morning session, the sidewalks were crowded with people waiting for tables at the various restaurants. I am so glad we got there early!
Corie pointed out an amazing little walkway she saw people taking pictures at, so we started the session there! Then we went down the road and found a cute three story shopping center. The shops weren’t open so we were able to snag a few pictures without bothering anyone. On our way back down the road I saw so many more amazing things! I seriously need to just walk in circles while exploring new locations.
Among the things we found were an amazing vintage Coca-Cola sign (thank’s Joe’s BBQ for keeping it!) and a huge art mural. This thing was so fun and full of color, I could not pass it up. (Also, it kind of looks like Popsicles! Just me? Maybe I was hungry…) As we were just about to leave, I spotted this amazing brick wall! The paint was chipping off and it was an amazing mix of white and this peachy red color. The two followed me across the street (again) and it was well worth it!
