Corie & Joe had a fiesta themed wedding at The Farmhouse at Schnepf Farms. They wanted to have a brightly colored Mexican/fiesta wedding that felt more like a big party than a formal wedding. And that is exactly what their wedding was!
Corie & Joe met in high school. Though they went to different schools, they had a mutual friend that introduced them. They have since had three adorable children and finally got engaged after dating for 15 years! They love going to concerts together, taking family vacations, and their frequent trips to Vegas.
On the wedding day these two were beaming and full of happy tears. We started out the day taking pictures of them getting ready with their wedding parties and their children. Right before their first look, Corie had a surprise for Joe and his mother. Joe’s father passed before the wedding, and Corie had pins made for them with a picture of his father. It was such a special and unique way to honor his father at their wedding. After they opened their gifts, it was time for their first look. Both of them were so excited to see each other. They shared a tender moment together and then we explored The Farmhouse for their pictures. We ended in the orchard that was in a beautiful fall transition from greens to yellows.
Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony! They were married by Corrie’s cousin surrounded by their friends and family. There were many smiles, laughs, and happy tears shared by all. You can see how excited everyone was by the officiant’s smile during their ring exchange! After they shared their vows and a kiss with guests happily shaking maracas, it was time for the party. We took all the pictures with the bridal party and family before the ceremony, so we could get straight to the reception!
Their reception was a true fiesta. From the colorful decor to the Taco Bar dinner. They had a sweets table featuring their favorite Mexican candies, cupcakes, and maraca sugar cookies. But my favorite had to be the custom Tapatío bottles with their faces and wedding date. After the first dances, guests could be found either on the dance floor or at their DIY photobooth that was decorated with colorful paper flowers and a rad Sombrero! Before we knew it, it was time to cut the cake and toss the bouquet and garter. I ended the night with their dollar dance and left them to party the night away with their guests.
Corie & Joe – I am beyond excited that you two are finally married! Your family is the absolute cutest and I know you will have many more years of happiness and fun family trips to Disneyland in your future.
First Dance Song – Kings of Leon cover of “Can’t keep my hands to myself”
My Favorite Detail – The colors of Corrie’s tattoo matched her bouquet! Also, her amazing denim jacket!
My Favorite Moment – Their first look. (I am a sucker for first looks.)
