Rebecca and Isaac wanted a Hollywood/Downtown feel to their engagement session. So I scoured my resources and found a cute little coffee shop downtown that had exposed brick walls and an arrangement of vintage and modern furniture. We also added the Orpheum theater to the list of places to go and that was the best idea ever! I planned to drive them down into the warehouse district as well, but unfortunately there was a Diamond Backs game and the roads were flooded with parked cars. That’s OK, we just spent a little extra time at the Orpheum!
We met up at the coffee shop and started our session there. Then we all loaded in my Prius and went downtown to the Orpheum theater. There was a show that night, so everything was all lit up and popping! The vintage style of the building worked perfectly for the look we were going for. I found this amazing door frame to pose them in and it reminded me of the posters for Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
After the theater it was time for a change of clothes to Disney gear. These two are big Disney nerds, you know, my kinds of people. Isaac proposed to Rebecca in Disneyland dressed as Prince Eric and Ariel! I mean, come on! If that is not enough, Rebecca is spending the next semester in Disneyworld! So, they got changed and we went to a small little park to get some more relaxed photos. I stuck them in a tree and all I could think of was the nursery rhyme! We then went down to the street to a church that had a little balcony and we did some “Romeo and Juilet” style photos. It was so much fun to work with these two; I cannot wait to see what Disney elements they include at their wedding!
