Marissa and Harrison were married at their friend’s home in Casa Grande. They completely transformed the backyard into an intimate rustic ceremony and reception venue with the help of their family and friends.
Marissa and Harrison met at church camp 5 years ago and were so excited to be husband and wife. They simply love spending time together no matter what they are doing. Driving in the car listening to music, hanging out with their friends and family, or eating Hot Cheetos with lime while re-watching The Office or King of the Hill. Truly two after my own heart.
Before the ceremony, they kept their rings in a small rustic box with horses carved on it. This was the first gift that Harrison every gave Marissa. Marissa’s father officiated the ceremony. So, two of her brothers each walked her half way to the alter. The ceremony was full of smiles, a few shared laughs, and happy tears.
After the ceremony we went to the front of the house for their wedding party pictures and family pictures. Then we let everyone head over to the reception while we took Marissa and Harrison’s portraits. There was a little desert scape in the front of the house that made us feel like we were in our own little desert instead of the middle of the city! After some gorgeous pictures there, we took advantage of the house’s beautiful brick architecture for the backdrop of their photos.
Marissa and Harrison, I am so glad that the stars aligned and I was able to be part of your special day. In the words of Michael Scott: you two are soup snakes and I wish you two a happy marriage full of laughter.
