Krista and Patrick were married at the Arizona Heritage Center this winter. They chose this venue because Krista loves the desert! And this venue is right on the edge of Papgo Park and has a ton of cactus life surrounding it. So, you know we used the gorgeous desert backdrops for most of the photos! Their ceremony took place in the open, brick courtyard. And, due to the crazy snow storm, the reception was inside the museum of the Arizona Heritage Center.
Krista and Patrick met as so many couples do, online! They love camping, hiking, and traveling together. And playing darts! They share their home with their Catahoula Leopard Dog and three cats. (There is a reason we hit it off!)
The Wedding Day
Both Krista and Patrick got ready down the street at the Tempe Mission Palms. Then, we successfully coordinated and ran interference getting them both to the venue without seeing each other! We just had that crazy huge snow storm in the valley, and you could see the snow capped mountains in the distance. Patrick and his family were loving the unusually cool weather, because they are from New York. Krista was prepared with a cute jacket and a blankets for the guests!
After taking photos of each of them with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, it was time for the ceremony. They kept it short and sweet! (Seriously. They have the record for my shortest ceremony to date!) They were just so excited to finally be married! After the ceremony, we went into the desert with the bridal party for pictures. Then it was time for the reception.
Krista and her sisters made all the bouquets and flower arrangements themselves! They took a DIY flower class and made all the arrangements together. And Patrick’s mom hand-painted all the prickly pear place cards. Krista and Patrick made their grand entrance down a truly epic staircase! After dinner, their families shared heartfelt toasts with them sharing many laughs and happy tears with the couple. After the dances, it was time to party. Everyone was either on the dance floor or in the photo booth! And then, the best thing happened. A late night taco truck! We snagged a few photos with Krista and Patrick getting their late night snack on. Then a few tacos for us before we ended the night!
Krista and Patrick, it was so amazing to be part of your wedding day. Your two families love and support you so much, and it shined at your wedding. I wish for the two of you nothing but the best and many happy camping trips together!
