For Lindsay & Kyle’s engagement session they took me to somewhere I have never been before: Anthem Park. I am always excited to check out new locations and this was no exception. One of the things that drew them to this park was this wonderful waterfall (which is such a gem in Arizona!). I got there a little early to scope out the park and I was not disappointed. It was the weekend, so there were a ton of families there. But once we got to the other side of the lake, there was a world of opportunity for their pictures.
Lindsay & Kyle met ten years ago through a mutual friend, but did not start dating until about 5 and half years ago. Kyle was living in California and Lindsay in Arizona for most of their relationship. Lindsay and Kyle love hanging out at the beach, so while Kyle was living in California they spent a lot of time there. Now that they are both in Arizona, they enjoy taking trips with their family to the beach.
Their engagement story is pure magic. Kyle had been planing on proposing to Lindsay for a while. He had the ring and everything. He would even talk to their dog Lola about how he was going to propose to Lindsay! But he was waiting for their trip to Chicago to pop the big question. Lindsay’s father was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. So much so, that when he passed 5 years ago they had his ashes spread at Wrigley Field. Kyle knew how special Wrigley Field was to Lindsay and wanted to make sure her Dad was included in the proposal. So, at a Cubs game on September 1st, in front of their family and Lindsay’s dad, he asked her to marry him. How could she refuse? (Seriously though, when she told me this story I almost cried!)
I had such a great time with Lindsay and Kyle at their engagement session. They were full of laughs and smiles the whole time. I am so excited for their wedding next year at Venue at the Grove!
